In The Beginning...

Our founder Dennis Bearden, after working for another HVAC wholesaler for only about one year,decided that there had to be a better way to operate an air conditioning, heating and refrigeration distributorship. His philosophy: To regard employees as family and to treat customers as friends with a generous amount of customer service thrown in. That was the beginning of Century, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Century A/C Supply was founded in 1973 with this simple but powerful idea. The idea caught on and by 1995, through new store openings and acquisitions under the leadership of Rick Luke, we had grown to eleven branches in the Houston and southeast Texas area. In 1998, Core Distributing in San Antonio was added to the Century family. In October, 2001 we acquired Major Supply in San Marcos and opened additional Houston area branches. In March 2008, Johnson A/C Supply was added to the Century Companies family.
